Some days are easier than others. What always helps is your own breath, perhaps a few deeper breaths than the habitual ones that often serve only to function and cope with everyday life. It is good to sigh now and then, to pause and to sense one’s own needs. Do I need a nap, do I want to exercise and go for a walk in nature, or run through the woods and get really out of breath? When we don’t feel the need at all, it’s good to just shake and make sounds for 20 minutes. Soft or loud, whatever wants to come out of your gut – which must hold so much swallowed emotion. If you don’t like the shaking, put on some favorite lively music and dance dance dance. Then see how it feels afterwards. With a hand on your heart, smile into yourself and give yourself a few moments of self-love, or more if you like.
